A customer brought in this BMW X5M S63 into AB Autos because they could hear some knocking in the engine area.

Diagnosis

When we looked under the hood and gave an initial inspection we discovered that the timing belt was extremely worn and tired which led to a few other complications like stretched ring binders and missing flue bushing cavities.

Solution

A replacement timing chain was installed which fixed the main issue. We then compacted the ring bindings and flattened the bushes out with original OEM BMW parts.
